A Passion-Driven Beginning
Paws Play Cleveland was founded in 2018 by Air Force veteran Teressa Doaty-Johnson. Inspired by her cousin’s dog, Max, and her dog, Alayna, Teressa set out to create something truly special—a place where dogs (a.k.a. “Paws”) could have fun, stay safe, and receive top-tier care.
What started as a vision of running a successful business quickly became something much bigger. Teressa quickly realized that running a pet care facility wasn’t just about dogs showing up and business rolling in—it was about building something meaningful, hands-on, and deeply rooted in service, consistency, and fun.

Pawrents). The Paws Play team is charged with doing the right thing, even when no one is looking – from activity coordination to cleaning protocols to accounting for all Paws at all times.
